Managing Director
Kevin O'Sullivan
Kevin brings seasoned leadership and a wealth of experience to the helm. With a distinguished background of almost 30 years in military engineering, mega construction projects and the energy sectors, he spearheads strategic initiatives and fosters growth with a keen focus on team building, empowerment, transparancy and safety.
Committed to excellence and innovation, Kevin is dedicated to guiding Tembo towards sustainable success in a dynamic marketplace.
Financial Director
Peter Panczyk
With a background in auditing and advisory services, Peter has served clients across diverse sectors in both the public and private spheres.
Joining Mammoet South Africa in 2012, he assumed leadership of finance for the SADC region in Africa, managing multiple venues and countries. Peter was appointed Director of Mammoet Southern Africa in 2017
Commercial Director
Johan Kwooitz
With nearly 30 years in the construction industry, and extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation (since 1982), Johan transitioned to civil and structural construction in 1995. For the last decade, he has excelled in the heavy lift and transport sector. Johan is an expert in sales, project, and contract management, including NEC3 and Common Law.
Known for his commitment to safety, client satisfaction, and cost management, Johan's transparent and calm nature ensures the best solutions for our clients.
Operations Director
Jaco Buitendag
Jaco Buitendag is an accomplished Operations Director and excels in the heavy lifting and transport industry. Starting as a Project Engineer at ALE Heavylift SA, he ascended to managerial roles within Mammoet, effectively leading significant projects in sectors like mining and renewable energy.
Now at Tembo, Jaco directs comprehensive operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and excellence in safety and quality. His strategic oversight extends to equipment maintenance and financial planning, underpinned by a Mechanical Engineering degree and specialised certifications.
Naledi Business Unit Manager
Neels van Heerden
Neels van Heerden is a seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience across various management domains, including technical, operational, and sales. He embarked on his career journey with Mammoet in Sasolburg operations back in 2011.
From the outset, he focused on petrochemical turnaround management, showcasing his knack for navigating complex challenges with finesse. As he progressed within the organisation, his ability to lead and inspire became increasingly evident, coupled by colleagues and peers alike, drawn to him for his approachable demeanour.
Engineering Manager
Gabriel Victor
Gabriel Victor is an Engineering Manager with 12 years of experience in the Heavylift Industry – having worked for ALE, Mammoet and Sarens. He specializes in finding solutions to clients requirements using heavylift engineering and design principles.
Victor sets high standards for himself and his team and strives to be as effective as possible. He believes in a healthy work life balance, and that family is where true wealth lies.
SHEQ Manager
Malambula Madida
Malambula Madida, commonly known as 'Shakes', is an experienced SHEQ Manager with an impressive 23-year track record specializing in Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality Management. With a keen focus on implementing robust SHEQ systems including ISO Standards. He ensures OHS compliance and drives continuous improvement within the organization. He excels in risk assessment, training, and fostering a Just Culture.
